Waupun Police Beat 11-14 to 11-18, 2018

Fire — Wednesday at 6:26 a.m., police and fire responded to the 200 block of Gateway Drive for a dumpster fire.

Disorderly conduct — Wednesday at 5:37 p.m., police responded the 1400 block of Flyway Drive to a disorderly conduct complaint which involved a verbal disagreement over child custody.

Threats — Wednesday at 10:40 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Rock Avenue for a threats complaint. The ex-wife’s boyfriend stated over Facebook that he had paid someone to kill his ex-wife’s husband.

Hit-and-run — Thursday at 2:19 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run accident in the 400 block of West Franklin Street. A pickup truck had been struck. The operator of the vehicle that struck the truck first said that his vehicle had been stolen, which it was not. The driver of the vehicle that struck the truck was cited for his first incident of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Fire — Thursday at 4:02 a.m., police responded to a fire in the 1100 block of West Main Street. A grease fire had occurred.

Alarm — Thursday at 7:59 a.m., police responded to an alarm in the 200 block of East Main Street.

Disorderly conduct — Thursday at 3:31 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of East Brown Street to a man yelling at a dog. Man was bitten by the dog he was yelling at.

Traffic stop — Thursday at 5:30 p.m., police made a traffic stop at the intersection of Young and East Jefferson streets. The driver of the stopped vehicle had a warrant for his arrest from Columbia County and was taken into custody for the warrant. The driver will have charges referred to the district attorney’s office for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle after revocation.

Bail jumping – Friday at 12:37 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on South State Street at West Jefferson Street. A 29-year-old Larsen, Wisconsin, man was taken into custody on four counts of bail jumping and operating after revocation. The man was transported to Dodge County Jail.

Traffic stop — Friday at 7:04 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the first hundred block of West Main Street. A 53-year-old Crandon, Wisconsin, woman was cited for operating after suspension.

Traffic stop — Saturday at 3:13 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Wilcox Street at South Watertown Street. A 35-year-old Waupun man was cited for operating after suspension.

Traffic stop — Saturday at 11:46 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Beaver Dam Street at McKinley Street. A 32-year-old Waupun woman was cited for operating after suspension.

Bail jumping — Sunday at 12:33 p.m., police conducted a tavern check in the 300 block of East Main Street. Contact was made with a 24-year-old Brandon man who had conditions of bond not to be in a bar or tavern. The man was removed from the tavern. A charge of bail jumping was referred to the Fond du Lac County Jail.

Traffic stop — Sunday at 8:57 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on South State Street at West Main Street. A 20-year-old Beaver Dam man was cited for operating after suspension.

Subject stop — Sunday at 11:48 p.m., police conducted a subject stop in the 800 block of West Main Street. A 38-year-old Waupun woman was detained for an open criminal investigation. The woman was also in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. A charge of illegally possessing prescription drugs was referred to the Fond du Lac County DA’s Office. The woman was later released from custody.
