The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market Host Dog Days of Summer Aug. 25

Greensboro, NC – The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street) will host Dog Days of Summer on Sat., Aug. 25, 7 am – noon. Dog Days of Summer is sponsored by Dog Days of Greensboro; a local dog daycare, overnight boarding, and grooming professionals.

This fun and educational fundraiser will bring awareness and exposure to help GFM develop resources for a dog-friendly area at the market for our furry friends. Rescue dogs and information will be at the Market provided by Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue.

The lawn at the corner of Lindsay & Yanceyville St. will be full of dog-related vendors such as: paw dyes with Kristy’s Boutique, outfits for your dogs by Critter Couture, gourmet dog treats by Howlin’ Good Gourmet Dog Treats and Pupcakes, and dog training with The Clever Canine to name a few. The Market’s own Cornerstone Garlic Farm will be on the Lawn with dog treats and other dog friendly products! Additional vendors may join the event and updates will be posted to the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market’s Facebook page and website.

Capn Dar and Special Guests will be performing from 9 am – noon with acoustic guitar and group performances featuring 60’s to 80’s music with a tropical twist.

The Dog Wash fundraiser starting at 9 am under the carports. Tickets for the dog wash are a minimum donation of $10 per dog and available while supplies last. Each dog wash consists of a shampooing and towel drying. Cash or credit is available.

Stay for breakfast or lunch with tasty treats offered both inside and outside the market. Be sure to come enjoy a fun filled day, and don’t forget to bring your dogs! Have a fun time with your furry loved ones and get your shopping done too. While the Market loves our four-legged friends due to Greensboro City Ordinance only service animals inside the building, but all leashed pets are welcome on the lawn.

Interested vendors of handcrafted dog related items can find more information about becoming a vendor on the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market’s Eventbrite page. Volunteers will be assisting in washing and drying dogs; persons interested in volunteering can email Ashley Hogan at for more information and to sign up. If you are an animal rescue and are interested in bringing out pets that need forever homes please contact Ashley Hogan at
