Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 8/1

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Rottweiler, black and brown male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (stiff, freezes July 28); stray taken to shelter July 23 by Luke Calmes, Mapleway Drive, Toledo, from Airport Highway, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” amber brindle and white male, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray taken to shelter July 24 by Heather Parra, Douglas Road, Toledo, from Adella Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, brown merle and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (charged the gate, stiff July 28); stray taken to shelter July 25 by Maegan Applegate, Burnham Avenue, Toledo, from Chestnut and Dexter streets, Toledo.

Boxer mix, tan and white female, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (charged the gate, tried to bite through the fence July 28); stray picked up by a control officer July 25 at 2911 Letchworth Parkway, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 July 28); stray taken to shelter July 28 by Donna Kamann, Forsythe Street, Toledo, from North Summit Street, Toledo.

Great Dane, black and white male, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; surrendered July 25 by Cheryl Friess, Kirkland Road, Toledo.

Labrador retriever mix, brown male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (14 year old, not eating, can’t walk); surrendered July 30 by Doris Young, Belmont Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, white and tan male; stray taken to shelter June 8 by Nathaniel Holmes, Grand Avenue, Toledo, from Grand Avenue, Toledo.

Labrador retriever/“pit bull” mix, black and white female; returned to shelter July 1 by Kelly Bohland, Fir Drive, Temperance.

Beagle, brown and black male; stray picked up by a control officer June 26 at 1222 Parkglen Ct., Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, black and white male; stray picked up by a control officer June 28 at 809 Bush St., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” red male; stray left by an unknown person at shelter’s play yard during the night of June 28.
