Dogs killed

Dogs killed Oct. 17 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull” mix, tan and white female, unlicensed; bite history; surrendered Oct. 4 by Heather Nicolai, Golfgate Drive, Toledo.

Chow chow mix, orange male, licensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered Oct. 17 by Natalia O’Donnell, Lambert Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and white female, unlicensed; attacked a dog in playgroup; stray picked up Sept. 4 by a control officer in the 2700 block of Fremont Street, Toledo.

Boxer, brindle and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (hair up, growling, jumped on another dog in playgroup Oct. 16); stray taken to shelter Oct. 10 by Gloria Balusik, Riverside Drive, Rossford, from Corduroy Road and Wheeling Street, Toledo.

Rottweiler mix, black and brown male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Oct. 13 by Pamela Richardson, Norwood Avenue, Toledo, from Dorr Street and Forest Avenue, Toledo.
