Dogs inside, dogs outside, What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day #132

– Hey everybody, how are you? Jeff Gellman of Solid K9 Training with my What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day, tip number 132 My dog is great inside the house

Outside my dog's a terror I don't understand why I understand why, cause it's common That's actually normal A lot of dogs when they're inside the homes, every once in a while it's the opposite, but a lot of dogs when they're inside the homes there's not as many distractions, there's not as many environmental stimuli, not as many things to be nervous about, afraid of, reactive to

So inside the house, and usually inside the house a lot of people aren't telling their dogs much what to do So dogs tend to be better behaved inside the house but it all falls apart outside the house That's why start with incredible structure in your house Hold your dog accountable, teach your dog all your commands, lots of structure, lots of rules, punishment for noncompliance and for bad behaviors, so when you go outside you got a pretty good head start That's what I need you to do

Because it's a common issue and I want folks to know that you're not alone You're struggling like everybody else is But I find, and we find, when we do more of those things inside, outside a lot of the nonsense organically goes away or it's easier to have a conversation with your dog It's easier to communicate with your dog Your dog is more focused and pays attention on to you

That doesn't mean you get a free pass, but it's gonna give you the upper hand So don't just do the training outside where your dog is badly behaved Do lots of structure, ask your dog to do lots of things, hold your dog accountable, inside as well Jeff Gellman, Solid K9 Training, What Would Jeff Do Dog Training Tip of the Day, tip number 132 Madly in love with you, I'll talk to you soon, bye
